Yaw Boadu, a Ghanaian businessman based in the Eastern Region, has stated that he would never abandon his business to work abroad because he makes millions with his business.
In a chat with DJ Nyaami on Daily Hustle Ghana, Yaw Boadu, a Mobile Money (MOMO) Super Agent, indicated that he earns more than enough to sacrifice for a visa to Europe or America.
Speaking on how he became a MOMO super agent, Yaw Boadu disclosed that it began as a form of Microfinance. However, customers did not have to pay to withdraw their money.
“I started the business as a Susu Collector and used the money they saved with me for the Mobile money transactions. The money was available anytime customers wanted it, and I gained profits from the MOMO charges.
I don’t want to work or live abroad, even if you give me a visa for free. I would love to visit, but I’m busy making millions here. I won’t be able to stay the whole week. I feel sad when I hear people pay GHS100,000 to travel abroad. I can work with money and gain profits here,” he said on SVTV Africa.
Yaw Boadu was a teacher by profession. He quit to establish this business. He is married with three kids.
