Marcus, a Ghanaian living in Germany, revealed that his ex-wife called him a fool for bringing her to Germany instead of a family member.
Speaking on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Marcus mentioned he brought her to Germany within three months of their marriage. Marcus was still undocumented at the time.
According to Marcus, they were friends while he was in Ghana and reconnected on Facebook six years after he travelled abroad. Two months later, Marcus sent representatives to ask for her hand in marriage.
“I believe she didn’t love me. She just wanted to travel abroad. Our problems started two weeks after she arrived. My ex-wife would record my conversations. She was like my karma. The marriage collapsed in a year. I tried to fix the issues, but she just wanted to go.
My ex-wife had an issue with childbirth, and so I think she was insecure because I wanted kids at the time. She called me a fool for bringing her to Germany instead of bringing my brother,” he recounted on Daily Hustle Worldwide.
Furthermore, Marcus revealed that many Ghanaian couples in Germany cohabit for convenience rather than affection.
