Ireland-based Ghanaian Patricia Fiaka shared her heartbreak story of how her ex-boyfriend started cheating after buying him a car.
Speaking on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Patricia indicated that she secured a loan from the bank to buy her ex-boyfriend a car while she used public transportation (trotro) because she made more money than him.
“We were together for five years, but I can’t tell if he was pretending all those years. I saw changes in him, but I hoped that he would change. I did everything he asked because I earned more.
I bought a car for him, but I barely used it. My ex picked up other ladies instead. He got angry after my mother asked him about our plans for marriage. My ex packed out of the house and never spoke to my mom again,” she recounted.
According to Patricia, she decided to travel abroad during the heartbreak and applied to study in Ireland.
Moreover, Patricria’s ex reported her to the police for allegedly threatening her new girlfriend not to ride in the car. The case was transferred to the Domestic Violence & Victim Unit (DOVVSU), but the car was not returned.
