Abigail Dawson, a Ghanaian living in the US, revealed that she owned a boutique in Ghana and travelled to several countries to buy goods. Still, she could not return after visiting America.
Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Miss Dawson mentioned that she started selling clothes at university and grew it into her business. She has travel experience and visited Turkey, China, Dubai, Belgium and other countries for business.
However, after she visited the US, some family and friends were against the idea of her return. Abigail indicated that she makes $1500 a week working in America.
“The US was my last stop. I had been to several countries, including some European countries, but no one ever told me to stay. After discovering I was in the US, they messaged me to advise against returning.
I stayed also because there are many opportunities here that we don’t get in Ghana. I currently work an hourly job, which is better than running my own business in Ghana. I earn $1500 per week. I wouldn’t get that amount in Ghana. Some make more than that,” she said.
