Jennifer Frimpomaa, a Ghanaian living in the Czech Republic, disclosed her rent cost and advised others not to travel to Czechia if it is not for education.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Jennifer mentioned that rent in Czechia is more expensive compared to other European countries. Despite the high cost, Jennifer indicated that most citizens prefer to live alone and dislike sharing apartments.
“Food is not too expensive here, but rent costs a lot, especially in my city. There are many universities and companies here that recruit employees. I paid less in the hostel. I pay almost GHS9000 a month now.
Rent alone takes about 60% of our salary, and women dislike sharing apartments. They prefer a studio apartment than to share a three-bedroom house,” she said.
Miss Frimpomaa advised Ghanaians to research countries before emigrating because Czechia is not ideal for hustling.
“Most Africans here came as a student or a married couple. I haven’t seen any African working without a permit. It is not a country to hustle if you don’t have documents. You can come as a student and use that route to get your permit,” Jennifer told DJ Nyaami on Daily Hustle Worldwide.
