UK-based Ghanaian Daniel Tobgor revealed that he believed he lived comfortably in Ghana with his GH₵1500 monthly savings until he travelled abroad.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Daniel stated he owned a shop at Makola and two cars. Daniel started a ‘buy and sell’ business after his national service and eventually grew into a retail shop in Accra.
According to Daniel, he was comfortable in Ghana but admitted that the UK is better.
He said, “The urge to travel abroad came after my uncle, who promised to take me abroad, died. Since then, I decided to follow in his footsteps and started planning.
With my business and cars, I was okay, but I wanted to travel. Coming to the UK has helped me a lot. I was comfortable in Ghana, but living here is better.”
Mr Torbgor, however, advised the Ghanaian youth against travelling abroad if they have a well-paying job in Ghana and are comfortable with it.
