Ghanaian artiste Danso Abiam revealed why he decided to stay in the UK after his scheduled performance in an interview with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa.
The ‘Belly Dancer’ hitmaker disclosed despite his plan to work for a few months after his performance, he was stunned at the amount he received after just a month of working in the UK.
“I came to perform at a charity show, but after that, I did one or two shows, including the Ghana Music Awards UK. I got a six-month visa, so I decided to stay and work for about four months.
A friend of mine helped me get a job at Amazon. After I was paid the first month, I converted it to Ghana Cedis and said to myself I’m stuck here. I told those waiting on me in Ghana to wait,” he said.
Danso traveled to the UK in 2011. Speaking on the salary that made him stay in the UK, Danso revealed that it was £2000. He shared more about life in the UK, music, and more.
Danso Abiam announced his second coming in 2019 with a single titled ‘Ebi Wo wofie’ and an official music video.
