Belinda Asamoah, a Ghanaian studying in the Netherlands, shared her experience with sex for jobs in Ghana and disclosed that a hiring manager had an erection during a one-on-one job interview.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Belinda mentioned that she experienced it twice. According to her, both men demanded sex as an assurance for the job and failed her after she refused.
“After my interview, the hiring manager asked me to wait. He called me back into his office and proposed love to me. Then he told me he got an erection as he looked at me. I didn’t see it, but that’s what he said. I told him I was not interested,” she revealed.
“Another man also promised to help me get a job after my national service. He called me out on Valentine’s Day and took me to a movie house, and immediately we entered, he started touching me. I told him I’d scream if he tried anything. He later told me that I failed the interview.”
Miss Asamoah was granted a full scholarship to study in the Netherlands last year. In response to whether she would return after her studies, Belinda said, “If there’s a company (in Ghana ) that will pay GHS20,000 monthly, then yes.”
