Mr Emmanuel Tabi, a Ghanaian based in America, revealed that his ex-wife denied him the chance to see his kids for 14 years after their divorce but demanded that he pay child support.
In a Daily Hustle Worldwide Interview on SVTV AFRICA, Emmanuel mentioned that he paid $197,000 in total to his ex-wife, but he never met his two kids.
“I ended up paying in excess, but child services paid it back. It was $197,000 in total, but the painful part is that I do not even know where the children are right now. After our divorce, I decided to send her an amount monthly, but she said she didn’t need my money.
Meanwhile, she was planning to apply for child support because she could get more. She moved to Ohio while I lived in New Jersey,” he explained.
Mr Tabi believes his ex-wife polluted his kids against him. He mentioned that both kids (aged 28, 27) have refused to talk to see him.
“I tried twice to see the kids, but she told me she was unavailable and threatened to sue their school if I ever called to speak to them. I haven’t seen them since 2009. My son told me I shouldn’t bother looking for him because I wasn’t in his life. I don’t know what their mother told them,” Mr Tabi told DJ Nyaami.
