UK-based Ghanaian Christiana Abrokwah disclosed that no man asked her out in the first year of living in the UK.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Christiana confirmed what many single ladies in the UK especially complain about. According to them, men rarely compliment or ask them out compared to Ghana because of the laws.
“No man proposed to me when I arrived. I worked for about a year and a half, but no one asked me out. I don’t know if it is because of their laws, but I experienced it. Not even one complimented me,” she said.
Christiana revealed that the only time a man expressed love towards her was when she was seven months pregnant and already married.
“The only time a man proposed was when I was heavily pregnant. My husband was in Ghana. He said he didn’t notice I was pregnant. That was the only time a man asked me out here. It is a struggle for young ladies here,” Christiana added.
Moreover, Mrs. Abrokwah spoke on life in the UK, the Ghanaian community and more.
