Akosua Twumwaa, a Ghanaian living in America, revealed that she sold her 4-bedroom house in Sapeiman for less than ₵100,000 to travel abroad, and she has not regretted her decision.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Madam Twumwaa indicated that she sold the house in 2017 and left behind her four children to hustle in the US. According to Akosua, she has built a 15-bedroom house in Ghana within six years in the US.
“I sold it for cheap to leave the country. I often travelled to different countries to buy suits to sell in Ghana, so I knew how good America was, but I couldn’t quit my business to stay.
That’s why I decided to sell my house and leave when my business started dwindling. By God’s Grace, I have built a 15-bedroom house, and I’m still on it. I have never regretted that decision,” Akosua said on SVTV AFRICA.
Speaking on the economic crisis in Ghana, Madam Akosua advised Ghanaians to sell whatever family property they own to travel abroad. She mentioned that Ghana does not have plans for its youth, and many may waste their lives if they do not travel abroad.
“Sell your family property and travel abroad If you are suffering. Don’t listen to people. Don’t sit in Ghana and waste your time. We’re waiting for Ghana to develop, but until then, (leave). There is no future for the youths in Ghana. I had to bring my four children to the US. I was in Ghana for a month recently, and I felt the heat. I spent about $3000 in one month,” she added.
