“It is not easy at all because we don’t get to see each other every day. At least we get to talk every day, which makes our relationship quite strong, and we’ve known each other for a long time,” she noted.

In response to whether she has plans to bring her boyfriend to the US, Gloritta said, “he will find his way. No, he will find his way to come up here. We are not going through that route (marriage visa). He will have to find his way, but I won’t help him. Not really.”

Miss Gloritta moved to America in the 90s to join her family. She shared some details about living in the US and advised Ghanaians to take up the opportunity to travel abroad. Despite the global economic crisis, Miss Amponsah mentioned that America is far better than Ghana.

“Cost of goods and services have increased here as well but it can’t be compared to Ghana. So if you get the chance to be here, you have to work harder because you are obligated to pay rent and others,” she advised.
