India-based Ghanaian Emmanuel Arthur stated in an interview that some Indian locals especially women, flee the scene when they spot a Black man.
Emmanuel has been living in India for five years. He enlightened Ghanaians on life in India in an interview on SVTV AFRICA and revealed that some Indian women have been made to believe all Blacks are bad people. As a result, most of them do not mingle or befriend Blacks.
In response to whether he is dating an Indian, Emmanuel said, “No, they run when they see us. They won’t come close because they have been told that Blacks are bad people. That’s how they’ve been made to believe. As per Indian culture, men do more than the women.
So, we don’t see women outside that much. It’s only in one state that Indian women marry Blacks. Even in that state, the Indians don’t regard them as Indians but as Chinese. But the others won’t even come close to Blacks when they see us.”
Moreover, Emmanuel advised people against applying to Indian universities if they wish to work part-time, as it is done in some Western countries. He mentioned that it is illegal to work as a student even for citizens.
Mr. Arthur studied Physiotherapy in India and recently graduated. He is hoping to return to Ghana or travel to another country for work.
