Germany-based Ghanaian Alex Opoku disclosed that he sometimes borrows money for work because he caters to about eleven people in Ghana.
Alex revealed in an interview with Daily Hustle Worldwide that he is not as financially stable as people might assume of a working citizen in Germany. This is due to the number of people he supports financially in Ghana. Alex supports eleven people, including his wife and his extended family.
“I’m independent now but not financially because there are some issues that I must solve as a man. Sometimes, I borrow money from people for work because I take care of 11 people in Ghana.
My ex-wife’s problems became mine after we got married. I had to solve all that, and my current wife was no different. She lives in Ghana, but we’ve never met. We have a stand-in marriage, but I’ve established a business for her, but I still need to give them money,” he noted.
Alex met his wife on social media while she was in South Africa. He mentioned that he plans to file for his wife to join him in Germany next year.
Alex Opoku travelled to Cote d’Ivoire as a teenager and eventually stowed away on a ship to Spain at 15. The young man revealed that his mother deserted him after she married another man.
“I’ve not had anyone to talk to or advise me in my lifetime, and I still don’t have anyone like that. So when I met my wife, she told me she would be there for me and stand in as a mother. What she said spoke to my heart because I have no one else,” Alex said on SVTV AFRICA.
