Kwabena moved to the US three years ago to join his family, and he revealed that despite the short period, working in the US has been more beneficial to him than his 15 years of work in Ghana.
In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Kwabena indicated that he lived a quiet life with a good-paying job in Ghana for over a decade. However, the opportunities in the US have been endless.
Kwabena disclosed that he was disappointed and regretted leaving Ghana in the first few months in the US because he was jobless and could not integrate into the system due to the pandemic.
“I started complaining because I was thinking of all I could do in Ghana. I was advised on the possibilities in the US and how to fit into the system. I found a job and completed a surgical technician course within a year,” he noted.
In response to whether there is a difference in value between his job in America and Ghana, Kwabena said, “There is a big difference. The timeframe is not the same. Fifteen years compared to two years, but two years can tell you that in five years, I’ll be far gone.”
“It’s (two years) almost better than that (15 years). I won’t discourage anyone from coming too, but use the right channel. You can turn things around in a year if you develop yourself to align with the American system,” he added.
