Germany-based Ghanaian Ernest Asante shared a painful story of how his life changed after a false accusation by his sister-in-law.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Ernest Asante revealed that his biological brother threw him out of his home upon his wife’s accusation against him. Ernest became homeless for weeks and resorted to alcohol.
According to Ernest, his brother did not give him a listening ear. Moreover, Ernest’s sister-in-law spread false rumours, which prevented other Ghanaians in the area from housing him.
“My brother refused to listen to anything I had to say. I got a place to stay, but my sister-in-law threatened to report them to the police for keeping an illegal immigrant. She also told others I’d sleep with their wives if they kept me in their house. So I had to sleep on the street, but I couldn’t stand the cold during winter.
I had no option but to do what the other homeless guys were doing, which was alcohol. I had to drink two and a half bottles of vodka to be able to walk during winter. I became a complete alcoholic and a laughingstock,” he recounted amidst tears.
Speaking about why his sister-in-law falsely accused him, Mr Asante disclosed that she told him to choose between his job and the house.
“I finally got a job after a year in Germany, but my brother’s wife refused to let me go to work. She wanted me to babysit her children and gave me those options. When I got back from work, she asked me to away and later told my brother that I had beat her up,” he added.
Ernest Asante revealed more about how the woman who saved him from his situation later became his mother-in-law.
