Norway-based Ghanaian Shirley Dadzie revealed that she felt sorry for her sister when she saw the state of her house in Norway.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Shirley indicated that aside from her disappointment, she sympathised with her because she was very responsive towards their family’s needs.
“I thought my sister lived in a mansion in Norway because she gave us everything we asked for. I was surprised and disappointed because it was not what I expected. I thought I was going to live in a mansion with everything available to me, but it was a tiny apartment. So I felt sorry for her,” she recounted.
However, Madam Dadzie did not let that put her down, but it encouraged her to do better. “I wanted to do more because if she could cater to our needs while living here, then I could do it too. I wanted to support her.”
Shirley shared more about how she coped with the cultural shock, the language barrier and her general experiences in the country. She married a Norwegian and had kids together but eventually got a divorce.
