American based in Ghana Dr Wanda Evans-Brewer has been living in Ghana for three and half years, and she revealed how Ghana gave her a business.
In an interview on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Dr Wanda stated that there are several business opportunities in Ghana, but many citizens do not value them. She added that many Ghanaians have low self-esteem.
In response to why she decided to stay in Ghana, Dr Wanda said, “The truth is Ghana gave me a business. My experience in Ghana has been superb. During Covid, I had to decide whether to return to the US or stay in Ghana. If I planned on staying, then I had to provide for my daughter in the US. So I started a business. You (Ghanaians) see them (opportunities), but you don’t value them much. “
“The other thing is because you’re in a Black nation, you’re not aware of your Blackness. You don’t have any consciousness. Poverty is not unique to Africa. America is poor too, but the difference is the mindset of loving themselves. What I see is low self-esteem and a lack of self-love. You can decide that you don’t want your beaches dirty anymore,” she said on Daily Hustle Worldwide.
Speaking of the business Ghana gave her, Dr Wanda established an online business WandaLands Naturals selling natural products (prekese, black seeds, goron-tula, etc.) to the international market.
