Ghanaian Data Centre Technician at Google Jeffery Kuffour revealed that he works eight hours daily and earns $30 per hour ($240 daily).
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Jeffrey disclosed how he got the job and shared some perks of working at Google. According to Jeffery, he had an IT background from Ghana and decided to make a career when he got to the US.
“I didn’t do any course when I arrived. I just applied for the job and passed the interview. It was easy because of my IT background, but I was trained on the job. I work eight hours. I’m at level one, and we make $30 plus, and it goes up if you work overtime,” he mentioned.
Jeffery said of the benefits of his job, “I’ve been working at Google for eight months, and it’s the best company ever. They feed us breakfast and lunch. There’s a basketball court, with several other facilities. So it’s always fun to work.”
Jeffery advised Ghanaian youth who wish to travel abroad to be wary and avoid working menial jobs. He added that there are many opportunities for those who are into IT.
