US-based Ghanaian Emmanuel Amponsah stated that he works from home and makes $85,000, while his wife makes $16,000 monthly as a travel nurse.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA, Emmanuel indicated that living in America is not as stressful as some Ghanaians make it seem. He mentioned that most Ghanaians abroad settle for menial jobs instead of getting an education for better-paying jobs.
“There is stress here, but many Ghanaians bring it on themselves. I know a Ghanaian who came four years ago, but he makes about $120K yearly working in tech.
After university in 2013, I got a job in a hospital in Supply Chain which paid $60,000 a year. Now I make about $85,000 a year, and it’s good, but I work from home, and it’s flexible,” he told DJ Nyaami.
Emmanuel added that many educated Ghanaians in the US do not complain of stress like others do. He advised the youth who wish to travel abroad to get educated for better job opportunities.
