US-based Ghanaian Solomon Mensah revealed that he makes over $6000 as a part-time car haulier or hauler.
In an interview on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Solomon disclosed that truck driving is a money-making venture abroad if you have the experience and certification. He mentioned that some truck drivers with commercial licenses make about $150,000 annually working for companies.
“Amazon truck drivers especially make about $150,000 a year, but it is better to have your truck. I know someone who makes $350,000 a year after maintenance, gas, etc. Even as a single haulier, I make about $6000 after pausing my bills, and it’s just part-time,” he said.
Speaking about his part-time job, Solomon mentioned that he established his car hauling business with a Dodge Ram 1500. He could make more if it becomes a full-time job. which he
Solomon revealed he was a ‘trotro mate’ in Kumasi before he moved to Accra. He is currently studying DevOps Engineering and Linux administration. He wishes to retire at 45 years.
