US-based Ghanaian Ephraim revealed the financial benefits of truck driving in America and shared more about his other businesses in the US and Ghana.
Ephraim mentioned in an interview that he started driving trucks across states for a company and saved enough to buy his own after a year. He first studied to get his license (commercial driver’s license) and began work.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami on SVTV AFRICA, Ephraim stated that he set his ambitions toward owning his truck in future and worked towards it. Within a year, he bought his first truck at $34,000.
“I always liked it, but I was scared in the beginning. I knew a few people in the business, and it was good, so I overcame my fears. All you need is to learn for the test and pass it. They’ll give you the license and look for a job at any trucking company. After a year with the company, I bought my first one for $34,000,” he noted.
Ephraim has two trucks currently. Aside from that, he owns other businesses in Ghana as well. He also spoke about other skilled jobs that pay well in the US.
