Germany-based Ghanaian Benedicta Ziogolos revealed that she invested 50,000 Euros (₵620,000) into a poultry farm business. She makes about GHS100,000 monthly.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Mrs Ziogolos stated that she returned to Ghana with her Greek husband to start the business with a capital of 50,000 Euros. They stayed for over a year and managed the business. It yielded maximum profits.
Benedicta mentioned that they fed off the profit during their stay in Ghana and even got a car from the business. She indicated that Ghana is a business hub, but the citizens do not profit from it.
“My husband and I only took 10,000 Euros to Ghana, but we fed off it till we returned to Germany. We got a car, and even bought our tickets and brought about 3000 Euros. It’s a good business.
Our profit is one week’s sales at the end of the month. I can make about 8000 euros (GHS99,248) monthly and 25,000 euros (GHS310,177)every three months. So there is money in Ghana,” she noted.
Despite the success, Benedicta mentioned that her employees stole from her. She had to change employees seven times while she stayed in Ghana.
“I pay them GHS1000 each. I have a 7-bedroom apartment on the farm for them to stay in, and every week I buy them foodstuff of their choice. But some still steal from me. The manager stole ten crates of eggs after I left. He invoked curses when he was confronted.”
