Germany-based Ghanaian Williet Amadu has stated that she was aware her German ex-husband didn’t want kids, but she could not let a chance to travel pass her by.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Williet mentioned in a previous interview that her ex-husband had a vasectomy but never told her about it. In her recent interview, she disclosed that she knew about him not wanting kids, but she married him anyway.
“I’ll never deny that I wanted to travel abroad because I wanted the best for myself. I’m not ashamed to say it anywhere, but he knew how important family was to Ghanaians. That was how he got me to marry him because he was older than me.
I found out about his vasectomy after I got here, but I was okay with it initially because he is rich, and I could do anything I wanted. After a while, I realised that it bothered me,” she noted.
Williet mentioned that it was fun in the beginning. She had access to her rich husband’s credit cards until reality dawned on her. Eventually, she became depressed and decided to break up the marriage.
She is married to another German, and they have a baby boy.
