Koomson Stephen graduated from Mpohor SHS in the Western Region with 5As and 3Bs in 2021. However, he’s been unable to further his education due to financial constraints.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Stephen revealed that he had no option but to support his farmer Uncle to cater to his younger siblings.
The needy-but-brilliant student abandoned his education and joined “Galamsey” illegal mining to survive and support other siblings.
“I didn’t do the ‘galamsey’ for long. I didn’t make much. I could only sell for GHS20 or GHS30. When I got the results, there was nothing my family could do because of financial problems.
I want to continue at the university if I get the support. I feel sad about the situation, but I hope I get the support,” he said.
According to Stephen, he wants to become a lawyer in future. Stephen and his uncle are pleading with viewers to support his dream.
Kindly support Stephen Koomson to further his education by contacting SVTV AFRICA.
