Germany-based Ghanaian Seth Amoah Adjei has stated that he had to leave Libya for Italy despite his comfortable life because of poor security.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Seth revealed that he was very popular in the city and worked for several government leaders. He worked in Libya as a tiler for over six years and made some money from his service.
However, he had to leave the country after he was kidnapped and shot by some gangs. Seth said, “I was kidnapped on my way from church. I was with some of my workers. I paid my way out, but they demanded I pay for the others too.
I didn’t have enough to pay for all of them. So a Nigerian tried to escape while we were talking, and they shot him. Out of anger, they shot me in my knee.”
Seth mentioned that the kidnappers transported them to military barracks and fled. The soldiers then drove them to a nearby clinic to be treated.
“They tortured me even before the gunshot. I had several cuts on my body. They beat me up and even poured hot water on me. I was making money there, but my life was at stake. So I decided to cross the Mediterranean Sea to Italy as many do,” he said on SVTV AFRICA.
