Netherlands-based Ghanaian Jeff stated that his high school teacher advised him to travel abroad after disclosing his salary to him and other colleagues.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Jeff disclosed that he always dreamed of working as a teacher and was curious about their salary. As a result, he asked one of his teachers and immediately changed his mind.
“I was in the 2014 badge. My business class teacher was young and smart. So we were comfortable around him. I asked about his salary, and he was paid GHS1700 monthly.
I told him about my dream work, but he advised me against it. He told me about his plan to travel abroad too. So I kept that in mind and followed through with it eventually.”
After high school, Seth worked a few jobs and began his research towards travelling abroad. He saved about $10,000 and walked into several embassies for their requirements.
Eventually, he got his first application granted to South Korea. He shared more on how he moved from South Korea to the Netherlands.
