Italy-based Ghanaian Yasmine Nhyira has stated that her baby daddy hid his religion from her for years, and his family disapproved of their relationship because she stood to her faith.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Yasmine noted that her baby daddy is a Muslim, and she believes that he did that “maybe because he thought I wouldn’t have dated him.” They have three kids together, but his family did not accept her because she refused to convert.
“My baby daddy and I had no issues. I was okay with his religion and vice versa, but his family disapproved. They wanted to convert, but I refused. I’m a Christian, I can’t give up my faith.
I had no idea he was a Muslim, and you won’t notice it. We never lived together, either. I remember visiting him once I saw his brother praying. I asked him about it, and he said he was his cousin.”
Nyhira said they had to break up after his family’s disapproval. She added that they talk often because of their kids, and she hopes to date again.
