Germany-based Ghanaian Lucy has revealed that her host in Italy threw her out of his house while she was eight months pregnant.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Lucy indicated that her sister’s husband (host) paid for her travel expense to Europe, expecting her to work and pay back. However, her pregnancy affected that agreement.
According to Lucy, she got pregnant right before the visa was approved but hid it from her sister’s husband. She did not want to lose the opportunity. Lucy ignored advice to abort it.
“My husband and I had been married for years without kids. People advised me to abort it before leaving because it would be tough for me in Italy alone. But I didn’t listen to them. I went to Italy pregnant and never mentioned it to him.
Four months into the pregnancy, the symptoms set in. I lied about it until a doctor’s report confirmed it. He was so disappointed. Three months later, he told me I couldn’t give birth in his house and threw me out,” she narrated.
Lucy added that a Ghanaian couple took her into their one-bedroom apartment and helped her throughout her pregnancy.
