UK-based Ghanaian Thomas Agyingo has revealed that his ex-wife bullied him because he did not have a stay permit in the UK and would only get it through her once she permitted it.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Thomas disclosed that the marriage was a dreadful one and scarred about the experience. Thomas added that he feels traumatised whenever he remembers it.
According to Thomas, he told her he was undocumented while dating and was content with it. Eventually, Thomas moved in with his ex-wife upon her request and got married soon after.
“My ex-wife threw me out at midnight during winter. I’ve had to sleep at nine different bus stops. If I refused to go, she’d call the police on me. She knew that she had documents and earned more than me, so she began to bully me.
My ex-wife got a job for me and later called to have me fired. We were only married for about a year. The experience was brutal,” he recounted.
Thomas mentioned that his ex-wife was a divorcee with five children, but he loved her genuinely. Agyingo lied to his family about her kids because he did not want to be discouraged.
