Germany-based Ghanaian Emelia Frimpomaa has disclosed that an agent charged her 5000 euros for a German visa but instead gave her a Serbian visa.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, where Africans share their experience on life abroad, their journeys and more, Emelia shared her journey from Serbia through Hungary to Germany.
According to Emelia, a friend introduced the agent. Not only did the agent dupe her, but he travelled with her together with others to Serbia and left them stranded at the Hungary border.
“I left my husband behind in South Africa and travelled to Ghana for the visa, but it was a Serbia visa. I paid half the amount before the visa was approved. We flew to Serbia, and the agent took us to a hotel and left us with another agent.
He told us we’d get to Germany the next day, but it was a lie. The new agent took us to the Serbia-Hungary border and crossed it to Hungary. We walked for hours before getting to the camp,” she narrated.
Emelia and the others were detained for four days and fled from the Hungarian camp before being interrogated. From Hungary, the agent took them to Austria by train where they met a Ghanaian who housed them for a few days. Her family in Germany came to her rescue.
