Germany-based Ghanaian Afro has commended Ghanaians who still manage their meagre salaries despite the inflation.
He revealed that he spent about 3000 Euros (GHS40K) in one month on his personal errands and cash gifts to friends and family. Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Afro indicated that he heard about the inflation in Ghana but never expected what he experienced.
“I came purposely to survey my profit in my hometown. But I’ve spent about 3000 euros personally, apart from money for the project. When they tell you inflation is up, you don’t feel it until you come to Ghana.
The citizens are doing well living with the increase in prices. Ghanaians should not compare themselves to those of us living abroad because we live on credit, but you have to pay cash for everything here,” he said.
Afro stayed in Ghana for a month, and he shares more on why diasporans love coming home even. He mentioned that “Ghana will always be fun for us. The stress abroad is too much.”
