Gospel artiste Vivian Antwi revealed in an interview that her ex-husband instructed her to abort their child and threatened to end her life.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Vivian shared her story and experience from music, marriage and life in Spain. She disclosed that her husband gave her money to abort her pregnancy, but she did not abort the baby.
“His uncle advised him to abort the baby. He was the one I turned to whenever we had marital issues, and my ex-husband agreed to it. We were legally married, but he gave me money to get rid of it.
When I refused the abortion, his uncle told him to divorce me after I gave birth. It was a struggle. My family had to force him into paying for my hospital bills after delivery,” she noted.
According to Vivian, her ex-husband once again told her to abort their second child after she joined him in Spain. While living with him in Spain, Vivian faced physical and emotional abuse.
“I was getting ready to launch a new album which he promised to fund, but he took the CDs and beat me up. He told my pastor he felt like cutting me into pieces whenever I was asleep. I went to the launch from the social house,” she said.
Vivian Antwi released some hit songs in the early 2000s before leaving the music scene. The most notable among her songs is ‘M’abandenden.’
