Former broadcaster based in Germany, Yaa Serwaa Brakatu, has stated that she quit her radio job because of hatred from her boss.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Serwaa revealed that while other colleagues rejoiced with her for a collective win, her boss’ attitude changed. According to Serwaa, she could not tolerate her boss’s ‘cold attitude’ and resigned.
“I remember we had not interviewed the late JJ Rawlings at Adom FM, but we did that through me. So everyone was excited about it, but that person’s statement worried me. Whatever that person said afterwards seemed negative, and I had to resign,” she said.
SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami questioned her decision to quit. However, Serwaa revealed that “it wasn’t just an ordinary colleague. It was a boss from my department who often attended management meetings. She’ll be able to put in something that can affect me.”
Serwaa further stated that she decided to quit media and focus on other businesses despite offers from different media groups. She worked at the Multimedia group for over a decade.
Presently, Serwaa Brakatu lives in Germany with her two kids and has no regrets about quitting her job or leaving the country.
