Germany-based Ghanaian Rosemond Asante appreciated the support of astute journalist and founder of Pan-African TV when she found herself stranded at the Istanbul International Airport.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Rosemond indicated that she made a transit in Turkey but failed to locate the jetway on time to board the plane. As a result, she had to book another flight but had no money for it.
“I didn’t have enough money because I knew it was a transit to Germany. I had about $50 left. I was stranded. Thanks to Mr Kwesi Pratt. I appreciate what he did. I met him while on my way to get a buy sim.
I’d never met him, but immediately I saw him I said ‘massa’ and told him about my problem. Then he took out his wallet and gave him $200. That was in 2019, and the ticket was $220. May God bless him for what he did. For helping me when he did not know me,” she said.
Mr Kwesi Pratt Jnr is a journalist and the managing director of the insight newspaper. He is also the CEO of the Pan-African Television Network.
Madam Asante also shared some insights into life abroad and job opportunities in Germany.
