Brazil-based Ghanaian Clement Yamega has indicated that he will not accept a job offer in Ghana even if the expected salary is more than what he currently receives.
Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Clement revealed that he makes an estimated GHS2500 in Brazil. Moreover, the cost of living is relatively lower than Ghanas’. Hence, there’s no need to travel back to his home country for work.
“I make about GHS2500 monthly. We have a card for food. We pay GHS400 for rent, electricity, and water. Apart from working full-time for a company, you can work several jobs and makes good money. Someone told me about a restaurant job and offered to pay GHS1800 for two days,” he told DJ Nyaami.
According to Clement, the government gives citizens a GHS500 monthly allowance for food. He mentioned that he is comfortable in the South American country and will not come back to Ghana “for a GHS3000 job. What am I coming to do?”
