Germany-based Ghanaian King George has stated that a friend denied association with him leading to his arrest in his first few days in Germany.
In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide, George revealed that he had just arrived in the country and needed to make some cash. As a result, George accepted to help his friend with his shift for a cut.
“My friend asked me to take the lead and gave me the key, but it was the wrong one. I tried to open the door severally but it couldn’t not open. I tried the other door, and it opened. A neighbour called the police, and I was questioned. I had no documents at the time.
I called my friend to come to my rescue. When he arrived, he told them in German that he didn’t know me. I couldn’t speak the language either, but he told me he’d come there if I was arrested,” he explained.
George mentioned that the German police held him for 24 hours and asked him to go to an asylum camp.
According to George, his friend lied about the situation to the Ghanaian community in the area, preventing any of them to help him out.
“He told them that I was arrested for stealing. They are also scared of the police because they believe the police have tapped their phone calls. So they didn’t want to answer my calls. The only person who answered bought a new sim to call me back.”
George stated that he had to sleep outside for a few days where he met his ‘saviour.’
