Ghanaian chef Micheal Adu, known popularly as Celebrity Chef, has disclosed that he makes $100 daily cooking for celebrities and influential people.
In a chat on Daily Hustle with DJ Nyaami, Micheal indicated that he previously worked with various hotels and restaurants in the country, but the salary was unacceptable. As a result, he quit working for others and established himself as a private chef through recommendations.
Celebrity Chef shared his success story on SVTV AFRICA on how he became a household name in the cooking industry.
“I worked in a hotel in Kumasi before coming to Accra. I worked with Frankies for about five years before moving to Mensvic. Then I resigned and got a request to cook for a former minister, and he loved it. So the recommendations began from there,” he said.
“I got another gig through a chef. I cooked for Smallgod, King Promise and some artists from Australia. When Tiwa Savage was in Ghana recently, I cooked for her,” the Celebrity chef added.
Speaking on his charges, Michael mentioned that he takes $100, usually for about 8 to 10 hours. Chef says he won’t take less than GHS10,000 monthly to work in a restaurant or hotel.
According to Micheal, Lynx Entertainment’s CEO, Richie Mensah, gave him the name “Celebrity Chef” after an experience with him.
