Portia Webadoa has received GHS5000 from patrons of SVTV Africa Foundation after a plea for support to relocate from the ghetto.
In a previous interview on SVTV Africa, Portia noted that her surroundings make it difficult for her to quit prostitution despite her willingness to stop. She acknowledged that relocating would be a good turn to a new life.
DJ Nyaami and his team donated the amount to Portia to help her settle somewhere else. The 31-year-old expressed gratitude to the Foundation team and the viewers for their support.
“I want to rent a room further away from this place. So I will get my mind off it. I don’t want to stay anywhere close to Circle. It is what I have decided on, and so I won’t spend the money.
May God bless the viewer who supported me with this. For thinking of me as a child and helping me. May God bless them and SVTV Africa as well,” she said.
