18-year-old Mina has shared her regrets about fleeing from her home to work in the capital at age 15.
Mina mentioned that her friends influenced her into making that decision. Speaking on Ghetto Life Story, the 19-year-old revealed that her parents brought her back home, but she did not stay.
According to Mina, she wanted to be independent, and eventually went into prostitution. However, she regrets her decision and wishes she were home.
“I regret getting into prostitution, and I regret leaving home but it has happened. Sometimes, I wish I were home. I won’t be happy if my parents find out about what I do,” she said.
Moreover, Mina indicated that she would love to go back home, but she needs to make some money first. She revealed that she made money from prostitution but she wasted it.
“I’ll go back home if I get GHS3000. It wouldn’t be nice to go back with anything. I used to do sex work more, but not anymore. I made some money, but I wasted it. Even if you make the money, you can’t use it profitably,” she told SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami.
