A team of Police Officers from the Cape Coast Regional Division arrested the Tufohene of Ekumfi Akwakrom, Nana Onyaa today, September 21, as a suspect named in the killing of a student nurse in the Central Region.
The body of student nurse Georgina Asor Botchwey believed to be in her mid-20s, was exhumed from an uncompleted building owned by Nana Onyaa. Mankessim, Cape Coast.
The other suspect, a Pastor, was arrested yesterday after confessing to the crime.
On SVTV Africa’s Eyewitness Report, a radio broadcaster based in Cape Coast, DJ Omega disclosed that the Chief had been arrested. Both suspects are currently in police custody.
“The body was found in one of the rooms in his house. The Chief allegedly filled the room with burning incense and secured it with a padlock,” DJ Omega said.
