Ghana-based Sierra Leonean Theresa Koroma has stated that some Ghanaians are not as friendly and welcoming to foreigners as many believe.
Speaking on Daily Hustle on SVTV Africa, Theresa noted that she has encountered some unfriendly Ghanaians while others discriminated against her because she is a foreigner.
“Even if you argue with a Ghanaian, the first thing they say is ‘are you a Ghanaian?’ I had an issue with a a Ghanaian girl once, and when we visited the police station, the officer said, ‘you foreigner, you want to fight a Ghanaian.’
It should not be like that. There are many Ghanaians in Sierra Leone, and they can testify that we are very accommodating. Many people think young girls who come to Ghana are here for hook up, but they get it all wrong,” she told DJ Nyaami.
Moreover, Theresa shared some dating experiences with Ghanaian men. According to her, many Ghanaian men often approach her only because of her heavy backside.
“In Ghana, what I’ve noticed is that they will come if you have big buttocks but not with any good intention at all. They just want to have you and leave,” she added.
Theresa comes from the capital of Sierra Leone, Freetown. Miss Koroma comes from a Christian family with somewhat strict parents. She disclosed that she fled from home because she wanted to be free from her parents.
