Physically challenged cobbler George Kwaah aka Enkasa has received Ghs1300 from viewers of SVTV Africa through its Foundation.
Earlier this week, DJ Nyaami interviewed Enkasa at Bawaleshie, where he works as a cobbler. During the interview, George revealed that his disability caused his parents’ separation.
Eventually, George’s father left in the care of his grandmother after his mother abandoned him and settled with another man. His father also never came back for him.
According to George, his disability occurred overnight. It was not caused by any accident.
“There was a funeral at our family house at the time. My grandmother told my mom not to leave me behind, but she left while I was asleep. When I woke up the next morning, I couldn’t stand,” he recounted.
On July 16, DJ Nyaami and the SVTV Africa Foundation team visited George to present an amount of Ghs1300. He expressed his gratitude to the team and viewers of SVTV Africa for their kind gesture.
