Kuwait-based Ghanaian Samuel Forson has disclosed that he can save up to Ghs5000 per month as a taxi driver after sales to the company.
In an interview on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Samuel indicated that after making sales and paying rent and utilities, he saves Ghs5000 monthly. He added that Kuwait is one of the safest Arab countries.
“I make Ghs5000. My rent and sales are not part. That is how much I save monthly. You are not restricted on when to close. You can close at midnight, and no one cares. For the sales, we pay to the company weekly,” Sammy said.
“Also, it the very safe to stay and work in Kuwait. It is very peaceful. People park their cars on the streets, and no one will steal car batteries as we see in Ghana,” he added.
Speaking on residence permits in Kuwait, The father of four disclosed foreign nationals don’t get residence permits easily. Moreover, a foreign national working there would need a specified amount before inviting family.
“You need to 450KD (Ghs11868) in your account before inviting family. Many people have given birth while working here, but they didn’t get permits like in Europe. They need to pay to renew their visas till they are old enough to work,” Sammy said on Daily Hustle Worldwide.
