The US based Ghanaian gospel artiste Mill Addison has disclosed that her Germany based Ghanaian fiancé broke up with her over a Facebook post in 2011.
In a chat on SVTV Africa, Mill indicated that she made a post about a guy’s compliment on her looks, but her boyfriend did not like the post and called off their engagement.
“I was doing my national service at the time. A guy walked into my office and said, ‘Wow, what a beautiful lady.’ I got excited and made a post about that, and he saw it and said the relationship should be over.”
“So I ran to church and pastors for the guy to come back and marry me. But he wasn’t the right one for me. That was God’s plan. That situation brought me closer to God,” Mill told DJ Nyaami.
The Ghana Music Awards USA nominee admitted that they did not know each other well, but her ex-boyfriend’s family approached her with marriage, and she agreed to marry him.
“His family liked me and wanted their son to marry me. That was the plan, but we didn’t know each other well.”
Speaking on life in the USA, Mill advised Ghanaians living in the US to take advantage of the opportunities there to make the most of themselves.
Mill Addison is a former member of the Church of Pentecost and a gospel musician. She admires Joe Mettle, Sinach. Mill is a nominee in four categories at the 2022 edition of the Ghana Music Awards USA.
