UK-based Ghanaian Faisal Alhassan has indicated that he has regretted traveling without any skill because the UK has vast opportunities for people with technical skills.
In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Faisal stated that he intends to study to become an electrician in the UK. Presently, Faisal works in a warehouse to save enough money for his education.
“I regret not learning a skill in Ghana before coming here. Even a painter makes some good money in the UK. I want to come to Ghana and apply for some courses when I return,” he told DJ Nyaami.
Speaking on the subject, Faisal mentioned that most people without any employable skills often resort to menial jobs.
“If you are uneducated, the only jobs available are the menial jobs, and they will overuse you. It is very stressful, and many people quit or are fired because it is tough here,” he added.
Many Ghanaians abroad have stressed technical skills and the need for such people there. Faisal has also encouraged anyone to resort to learning a skill before making a move.
Faisal also mentioned that he would marry a Ghanaian living in Ghana rather than a lady in the UK. According to him, ladies in the UK have a different character and mindset than an African/Ghanaian.
