Malaysian-based Ghanaian, Ali Ibrahim has revealed that many Ghanaians in Asian countries are dying out of frustration.
In a chat on SVTV Africa, Ali mentioned that many Ghanaians have been in Malaysia for over four decades, but they find it difficult to go home. Moreover, they will not be able to go back to Malaysia.
“Many Ghanaians have died out of frustration because of the job here and also because of permit. The main job available here is construction, and it is hard.
If you can’t do manual labor, it becomes tough for you. Also, the salary is not enough. We take 50 Malaysian ringgit (GHs85) daily,” Ali revealed.
Mr. Ali further stated that he wants to move out of Malaysia to Kuwait to become a truck driver. According to Ali, Malaysian immigration only gives residence permits to foreign nationals from neighboring countries.
Speaking on how Malaysians relate to blacks, Mr. Ibrahim disclosed that “in terms of work, an Indonesian or Indian will get 160, but I will get 130 for the same job.”
Mr. Ali disclosed that it is more difficult for blacks to be documented in Malaysia because of some Nigerians.
“Blacks in Malaysia do not have a good name because of what the Nigerians here do. They scam people a lot, so the Malaysians do not like us,” he added.
