Ghanaian based in the United Arab Emirates, Micheal Somuah stated on SVTV Africa that he believed that he could make it abroad, but not in Ghana, and he gave reasons why.
Micheal told the host of ‘Daily Hustle Worldwide’ that working as a barber in Ghana was not a profitable business despite his unique skills. Moreover, traveling abroad was a childhood dream.
“Even though I had my shop in Ghana, it was not profitable. Before I set up the shop, I took GHS2 per cut, but I had to increase the price after due to rent and bills. They found it hard to come to my shop.
I don’t see my success in Ghana. I also love to pray, and I’ve been told severally that I will succeed only if I travel abroad. It didn’t come from one pastor, but many,” he explained.
Micheal revealed that even though he has not reached his peak in UAE yet, he has been able to buy a piece of land after two years of working in Abu Dhabi.
“Also, I never experienced that hardship that some Ghanaians go through when they come here,” he added.
He also indicated that he hopes to work in Canada or Europe.
