Spain-based Ghanaian, Abdul has shared a rather intriguing story of how he traveled by sea to Italy and finally settled in Spain after several arrests and deportation.
In an interview with DJ Nyaami on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Abdul revealed that after two years of staying in Napoli, Italy, he decided to leave for another European country.
According to him, getting a job in the area was difficult, hence his decision to move to Germany. He paid 120 euros for a ticket to Bayern Munich. However, he was arrested upon arrival at the station and eventually deported.
“I was regarded as a criminal because I came in illegally, and I was told to either pay and sign a bond or be deported. I was kept at the deportation center for five months and eventually deported to Napoli in Italy.
Abdul indicated that the Italian authorities dismissed him for disobeying their laws. He decided to hit the road again, but this time to Austria.
“I was arrested in Vienna again for illegal entry, but this time they gave me options. Either go back to Ghana for a visa to the country or marry an Austrian. So I went back to Napoli after I was released,” he added.
Both arrests did not dissuade him from migrating to a different country. He got a genuine connection to Spain through a Cameroonian friend and prepared for the journey.
