President of Liberia Students Association in Northern Cyprus, Brutus Jentzen Hunder, has disclosed that Northern Cyprus may have a conducive atmosphere for studying, but students are not allowed to work.
Speaking on SVTV Africa, Brutus indicated that travel agents avoid the whole truth and encourage them to come and study in Northern Cyprus. According to him, any student who wishes to further their education in Cyprus will need support from their families.
“Do not send your child here if they just completed high school because they are not mature enough to handle issues on their own. It is troubling to see our young Africans here in the name of education.
Brutus added that Cyprus is a peaceful country. However, “the issue of coming to work while going to school or to find a job is difficult.”
“My team had the opportunity to talk to the president of this place, and the director of the president’s office told us students are prohibited from working. It is a strict law here,” he added.
Brutus further added his team reached a consensus. According to him, the presidency has set a committee to revise the policy.
